ODEBRECHT’S Unfinished Business

The corruption scandal involving Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht is among the biggest ever detected in Latin America. According to one investigation, it has left as many as 45 projects stalled or abandoned throughout the region. The numbers show just how far Odebrecht’s reach extended — and how damaging the web of inflated contracts, bribes and multi-million-dollar overcharges has been to numerous economies.
