Electoral Reform

The Mexican Senate approved a bill on electoral reform early this morning with a vote of 106-15 and one abstention. The bill was championed by  the conservative Partido Acción Nacional (National Action Party-PAN) as a precondition to moving forward with President Enrique Peña Nieto’s ambitious energy reform plan.
